Trent McClellan is described as "funny as hell" and "a must see on the Canadian comedy circuit" This type of recognition means he is in constant demand across the country. Trent has appeared at every major comedy festival across the country including Just For Laughs,St.John's Comedy Festival, Calgary YYC Comedy Festival,Edmonton Comedy Festival, Moncton Hubcap Comedy Festival, and Winnipeg Comedy Festival. He has his own standup special on CTV and the Comedy Network is curently embarking on his own national Sit,Listen,& Laugh Tour.His standup is about real things and is the kind of funny you take home and plug into your own life.

This versatile performer also successfully defended the book "February" on the 2013 edition of Canada Reads on CBC. His appearance was viewed by many as "a genuine combination of extreme intelligence and passion." His relationship with books will continue as his humour will also be published in a Newfoundland text book in the near future.

Trent has appeared on George Stroumboulopoulos Tonight's "3 Things Panel" on CBC and has written and performed on four episodes of CBC Radio's "The Debaters."

Trent McClellan has a very unique story. Growing up in Newfoundland as one of the few people of colour and being being raised by his grandparents, presented him with a interesting perspective on the world. Before going on to become one of the busiest and successful comedians in the country, he had a extensive career in youth development with various agencies. He went on to combine his passion for empowering youth and making people laugh to co-create Live Comedy Club as an after school comedy program for youth in Calgary,Alberta. In his childhood, being the class clown didn't always lead to smiling faces so he wanted to give kids a proper environment to find their comedic voice in processing their world. Trent truly believes you have to be following your dreams to inspire others to do the same. He takes inspiration from the quote "Everything you want is on the other side of fear." His approach is that you have to decide what you want personally and professionally and then create a world that supports those goals. Trent's visit will make you laugh and eager to tackle the dreams you've put on the shelf.
